When I stumbled upon this recipe on Pinterest, it seemed to be too good to be true, dessert in 45 seconds?!
Well I tried it and it definitely earned a space in my baking hall of fame:
45 Second Chocolate Pudding, with caramel centre
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 4T self rasing flour
- 4T brown sugar
- 3T cocoa powder
- 1/4t salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3T milk
- 1T sunflower oil
- 1/2t vanilla extract
- chocolate chips, works best if you use real chocolate and not baking chocolate
- 2 – 4t ready made caramel like caramel treat
- fresh cream or ice-cream to serve (optional)
("T" refers to tablespoons and "t" to teaspoons)
Mix it all together in a bowl, and pour mixture into two ramekins.
I altered the recipe I found a bit. By adding some chocolate chips and caramel pieces instead of caramel treat.
After adding the toppings, I scooped some of the batter from the ramekin over the topping until it was completely covered.
The only thing left to do is to microwave the desserts separately - this really yields the best results. Microwave for 45 seconds on high, or even a little bit shorter. They will rise quite a bit.
Serve with ice cream and enjoy!
P.S. I still have one of these yummy desserts waiting on the counter... If you're quick you might snatch it.
Let me know if you are trying out this recipe and tell me what you think about it.
